Dr. Jan L. Hoving, PhD, has been a scientific staff member at the Coronel Institute of Occupational Health, at the Academic Medicial Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands for almost 15 years. Before that he worked as a senior researcher at Monash University Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Unit of Occupational & Environmental Health in Melbourne, Australia. Current research and teaching include subjects like Evidence Based Medicine (EBM), systematic reviews, and more recently also the development of a Core Outcome Set on Work Participation, and the development of a prognostic tool for physicians performing work disability evaluations. Jan is also active both in Cochrane Work and in Cochrane Insurance Medicine.
