New team member
at NIVA

NIVA’s project management team has been strengthened with Veronica Aspelin-Forsell, who will be substituting for Julia Hemgård during the coming year. Veronica will also be responsible for NIVA’s communications.
Veronica holds a master’s degree in history and Nordic literature from the University of Helsinki (2015) but has specialised professionally in communication, marketing, and project management. Over the past ten years, she has worked in various fields such as media, politics, culture, education, and research.
– My previous positions have also involved event production and research communication – experiences that feel particularly useful in my new role at NIVA, says Veronica.
Since her student days, Veronica has been interested in working within Nordic cooperation and is now especially happy to gain new experience and contribute to it herself.
– The more I learn about the Nordic institutions, the more impressed I am by the drive and engagement found here. The vision of making the Nordic region the world’s most sustainable and integrated region is clearly reflected in the daily work
In her free time, Veronica enjoys spending time with family and friends, preferably at the summer cottage in the archipelago, out running or travelling.
