About this course

Interested in exploring work participation and work-related disability within the Nordic countries?

This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the patterns of labour market attachment in working age populations and the impact of societal, workplace, and individual factors affecting work participation and work- related disability both within and between the Nordic countries.

Course participants will benefit from insights shared by experts in the field, engage in discussions on structural differences, and innovative methods for studying these topics, and develop valuable connections with other researchers and stakeholders involved in the field.

Recent research has introduced new methods for calculating working life expectancy, a measure of how long on average individuals at a specific age can expect to be in paid employment, and other methods enabling the study of multiple work-related outcomes simultaneously. This work has indicated significant factors that vary both within and across Nordic countries.

This course provides a platform for sharing the state of the art knowledge and generating further research questions and collaborations between Nordic researchers in the field.
