Second Workshop on The Economics of Occupational Safety and Health – Recent findings and hand on-calculation

The intention of the OHS Economics workshop is to give theoretical backgrounds and practical capabilities to make economic calculations in OHS issues. The course will be held on a level which is comprehensible also for non-economists. Some other issues will also be addressed with the aim of increasing the awareness of the role of calculations in the internal OHS governance.

The participants will have an opportunity to get their own cases analyzed.

Course objectives

The purpose of the course is:
• to present the recent international research findings and cases related to the economic analysis of OSH activities.
• to demonstrate the basic approaches to make economic analysis

The participants are encouraged to bring with them data on own cases in order to get them analysed during the workshop.

  • Occupationel health and safety practitioners in managerial position
  • Human resource management personnel
  • OHS researchers, who need an economic approach their research
  • Communication personnel, who need to understand the economic aspects of OHS

The total price of the course consists of two parts:

1) The course fee of EUR 500 and

2) One of the following:

The day package fee I of EUR 450 or

The day package fee II of EUR 250

    Day package I

    The day package I price is EUR 450/person. This price includes conference facilities and technical equipment, coffees, lunches, two dinners and the social program.

    The total price of the course is EUR 950 (course fee EUR 500 + day package fee EUR 450).

     

    Day package II

    The day package II price is EUR 250/person. This price includes conference facilities and technical equipment, coffees and lunches.

    The total price of the course is EUR 750 (course fee EUR 500 + day package II fee EUR 250).

    Kindly note that the day package II does not include dinners nor the social program.
