About this webinar

This webinar highlights some key elements of research to practice and is based on the upcoming 3-day NIVA course From Research to Practice in Occupational Health and Safety arranged at Scandic Göteborg Central in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 8th – 10th of April 2025.

There is a strongly increasing societal awareness of the value and impact of evidence-based occupational health and safety (OHS) knowledge, which comes from both authorities, occupational health and safety professionals and the political level. This webinar will address this challenge in three short presentations about key issues in the research to practice field. First unfolding some central concepts in knowledge transfer and exchange. Second touch on the role of OSH professionals in bridging the gap between research and practice, and thirdly, a teaser on approaches for evaluating research Impact in OHS. Finally, the content of the forthcoming course will be presented, and the participants will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion with the lecturers about the course topics.
