Subject background

Social media has the power to make a huge difference for our safety and health organizational missions. A well-organized social media program will significantly increase the number of people learning about our efforts, spreading the word, and supporting our organizational brands and its goals. A well-implemented social media strategy can be time-consuming and overwhelming. It is critical to create a social media strategy and specific goals that are measurable, actionable, and realistic. We also need to stay on top of the ever-evolving array of social media platforms and tools and choose appropriate ones for our organization’s mission. Most information seekers are finding our organizations though search engines. It is important that we understand how our social media strategies positively affect search engine optimization.
