The target group of the first day also includes the management of postal services, the management of occupational health care providers and researchers of working life.

About this course

Postal services are facing great changes, due to the digitalization trend and changes in consumer behavior. Sharing knowledge and experience is essential for developing work, work ability and productivity in this area.

The price of the course consists of the course fee of EUR 500

Day package I

This package includes:

  • dinners and the social program on Tuesday.

We strongly encourage you to take part in the social program, as this is a vital part of the NIVA course experience. We believe in the power of networking (between people) and strive to create an inspiring possibility for that through the social program.

The total price of the course is EUR 950 (course fee EUR 500 + day package fee EUR 450).

Course objectives

Postal work is labour intensive, physically and mentally demanding, and has long traditions. Due to the digitalization trend and other changes in consumer behaviour, postal services are facing great challenges all over the world. Getting together and sharing knowledge and experiences is essentials for improving work, work ability and productivity. This event consists of a one-day seminar and a two-day course. You can attend only the seminar (20 October 2015), only the course (21-22 October 2015) or both the seminar and the course (20-22 October 2015).

Objectives of the seminar, 20 October 2015: The seminar focuses on the current situation of international postal work and the visions of the Nordic postal companies, as well as on the latest research and how it can be utilized for developing postal work. The seminar will also present views on the economic dimension of occupational safety and health management.

Objectives of the course 21-22 October 2015: The purpose of the course following the seminar, is to share good practices for developing work. The emphasis is on understanding the factors behind the workers’ work load and stress. We take a deeper look into current international scientific research and discuss and create models for maintaining employee health and work ability through occupational health cooperation.

The courses and workshops vary in price. Please note that the course fee does not cover meals or accommodation. The course fee and day-package fee are invoiced after the registration deadline.
