About this webinar

Flexible working life, including remote and hybrid work, is increasingly highlighted as a key factor in improving employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

This webinar presents three recent Nordic studies examining flexible working arrangements and remote work from different perspectives. The contributions combine quantitative evidence on the employment effects of remote work with qualitative and policy-oriented analyses of how flexibility is used and experienced in practice by persons with disabilities.

The webinar will explore how flexible and remote work can enable labour market participation, but also how such arrangements risk becoming individual solutions rather than organisational or rights-based approaches. The discussion will address implications for employers, labour market authorities, and policymakers working towards a more inclusive working life.

This webinar is organised in cooperation with the Nordic Welfare Centre and is a part of the project “Inclusive Working Life – a Future Issue for the Nordic Region” which is funded by the Labour Market Committee under the Nordic Committee of Senior Officials for Labour (ÄK-A).
