Subject background

Several professions in education suffer from work wellbeing issues. Some Nordic countries have problems in recruiting teachers to schools and early childhood education due to the stressfulness of the work. These professions suffer greatly from work arrangements that create a lot of stress. The teachers can, however, do a lot to enhance their own wellbeing if they know the science behind stress and if they are educated on the connection between stress and learning.
