Subject background

Along with the growing importance of SEs in the Nordic countries, concerns about health safety and work ability in SEs have increased as they are seen to be preconditions for productive work and profitable business. Occupational health cooperation (OHC) is the backbone of effective OHS that help organizations promote and maintain work ability.  Successful OHC takes into account the characteristics and the needs of the client organizations.

However, many OCH practices have been developed in the context of medium sized and large organizations and may not be appropriate for small enterprises, especially for micro firms with less than 10 workers. This course focuses on good OHS practices developed in collaboration with SEs. It provides participants with knowledge of the models of OHC, guidelines for good OHC practice, and practical methods and tools of OHC.
