Workshop objectives
The aim of this workshop is to highlight the serious issues related to the work environment in a work-related crime setting. In addition, the workshop will provide participants with opportunities to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge, based on both research and practice, in an interactive way. This will allow for discussions on challenges related to work-related crime, such as those connected to working conditions, exploitation, and inspections.
Main topics
Work-related crime, work environment
Target groups
The workshop target group is professionals working in government agencies dealing with work-related crime or who may encounter work-related crime in their work, union representatives, undergraduate and doctoral students, researchers, and practitioners involved in the field of work-related crime.
Subject background
Work-related crime is a multifaceted issue in many countries. Consequently, authorities have highlighted it, and a great deal of focus has been placed on counteracting work-related crime. However, it has been shown that the work environment for employees working in organizations connected to work-related crime has significant flaws, including sexual harassment and safety negligence. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize the work environment perspective in connection to work-related crime.
