About this course

Occupational respiratory diseases are still important and prevalent occupationally caused diseases. Prevention is the cornerstone in the treatment, and there is a strong need to disseminate current scientific knowledge in this field to occupational physicians, allergists, ENT-physicians, chest physicians and researchers in the field.

Course objectives

To disseminate current scientific knowledge about prevention and risk factors for occupational respiratory diseases to specialists in the field.

This course has been accepted as a theoretical course demanded in the medical specialist education in the training programs of occupational health services and lung diseases at the University of Helsinki in Finland. The acceptance is valid for the specialist training programs at the Faculty of Medicine of all Finnish universities.
